The Print History Project team.![]() Pictured left to right: Elizabeth Styron, Nicola Frean, Sydney Shep Dr Sydney J ShepDr. Sydney J Shep is Senior Lecturer in Print & Book Culture at Victoria University of Wellington and The Printer at the University's Wai-te-ata Press : : Te Whare Ta O Wai-te-ata. She specialises in topics in the history of print culture in New Zealand and, through a Marsden Grant from the Royal Society of New Zealand, has researched the history of NZ colonial paper, papermaking, and paper trade networks. Sydney is Editor of SHARP News, Co-editor of the Bulletin of the Bibliographic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Co-editor of the proposed H-Paper_Research electronic network, and sits on the Advisory Board of the University of Toronto Press' Studies in Book and Print Culture. She is currently working on a collaborative project to map the contemporary street graffiti in Wellington using Geographic Information Systems. For Research Enquiries please contact Dr. Sydney Shep. University of Virginia Electronic Text CenterThe Electronic Text Center at Virginia hosts a tremendous internet accessible archive of XML texts and images, and it has also built a vital community of users and creators of these materials. The UVA Etext Center works with several other institutions, including the New Zealand Electronic Text Centre, which it helped to found in 2001. The Etext Center provides the searching capability for the Print History Project.
