Manuscript letter from B& C to WCC re: holding over Govt Insurance payment (1889)

As their elaborate lithographed masthead reveals, Bock & Cousins were not only printers, but were also famous for their die-sinking and engraving. Bock designed medals and certificates for the New Zealand Industrial Exhibition held in Wellington in 1885. The equally talented Cousins was in demand as a die engraver and designed a set of award-winning postage stamps in 1895. However, as was common in the period, stamps like money and other securities were generally both engraved and printed offshore in England.
