As national secretary of the 28 Maori Battalion (NZ) Association I am asked to provide material for researches both here in New Zealand and overseas. From senior school students researching the 28 Maori Battalion for school projects to international researches looking for data. From family searching for information about their grandfather/father/husband/brother to interested people wanting to read the story of the Battalion. The Battalion men will be proud to know that their history was one of the first to be digitised but more than that - their pride will be centered in knowing it is now freely available for educational purposes. I will be advising all branches in an upcoming newsletter.

... I just wanted to thank you for making the WWII history available. My father served in the 93rd US Naval Construction Battalion on Banika, Nissan (Green) and Samar Islands. His Diary and Letters are at seabees93.net. He became friendly with the NZ troops on Nissan and mentions them several times in his diary ... We are forever indebted to your countrymen for their partnership in the war effort. Thanks for this valuable book!
