          <p>Te Kāhui Kura Māori online is a showcase of the best
          Māori Studies postgraduate student writing. New issues will
          be published biannually. The Demonstration Issue (Volume 0, Issues 1 and 2)
          features work by 300 and 400-level students at Te Kawa a
          Māui, Victoria University of Wellington. Their topics range
          from Parehauraki to Rapa Nui, the UN Declaration on the Rights
          of Indigenous Peoples to customary law and tikanga
          Māori.</p>

          <p>This initiative is supported by the Pro-Vice Chancellor
          (Māori) office and Te Kawa a Māui, Victoria University of

        <head>Submission Guidelines</head>
        <p>Submissions are by supervisor/lecturer nomination to the
        local editors. Nominated essays are circulated and
        reviewed amongst members of the editorial board. From this, a
        selection of 10-15 essays are incorporated into the
        forthcoming issue.</p>
        <p>Submissions should be between 2000 and 4000 words. Authors
        must use Harvard referencing conventions for citations (Smith
        1999:45) and reference lists. Please use endnotes, rather than 
				footnotes, and keep these to a minimum. 
				Refer to the works published in Volume 0 as a guide to content and formatting.</p>
