Observations on Anopheles punctulatus Dönitz, 1901, and Anopheles farauti Laveran, 1902* This species has previously been referred to by Australasian authors as Anopheles punctulatus subspecies moluccensis (Swellengrebel and Swellengrebel de Graaf, 1920). In their revision of the punctulatus complex of the genus Anopheles, Rozeboom and Knight (1946) show that the name moluccensis must become a synonym of farauti Laveran, 1902; and that A. punctulatus and A. farauti should be considered as systematically distinct., at Palmalmal and Manginuna, New Britain, during July and August, 1945., in Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New Zealand
