O little Omi-Kin-Kan, your green shoots are so sturdy
You will soon catch up to that slim lemon tree;
Perhaps in seven or eight years you will bear oranges,
And lord-knows-who will boil them into marmalade
While we buy ours ready-made at the Army and Navy Stores!
