The Golden Sea.

the Golden Sea, a vessel of 1418 tons, built at Quebec in 1864, made one passage to New Zealand. Commanded by Captain Strachan, she left the Old Land on January 31, 1874, and arrived at Wellington on April 30th, a passage of 89 days. She brought 368 immigrants, and during the voyage there were eight deaths from scarlet fever, the ship being placed in quarantine upon arrival. the Golden Sea was sent out by the Shaw Savill Co.
