Mr. Arthur W. Brown
Mr. Arthur W. Brown, who was twice chosen Chief Magistrate of the City, is referred to under Ex-Mayors. He was first elected for Cook Ward in the month of September, 1881. Mr. Brown was again elected as a Councillor—this time for Te Aro Ward—at the election of 1888, and retained the position till December, 1[unclear: 8]90, when for the second time he became Mayor.
