Sir Kenneth was born in 1868 at Wanganui, and was educated at the Wellington College and at Wanganui Collegiate School. For about six years he was a law-student in the office of Messrs. Brandon, Hislop, and Brandon, in Wellington. He passed his examinations in law in November, 1895, and was admitted as a solicitor in April, 1896, when he commenced to practice as above.

Mr. Dunn was born in 1872 in Wellington, and was educated at the Wellington College, where he became dux in 1890, and at Canterbury College, where he graduated as B.A. of the New Zealand University in 1893, and M.A., with honours in political science, and L.L.B. in 1894. He was admitted barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in 1895, and established his practice in 1896.
