The Rev. John Awdry Julius, B.A. (Oxford), Curate of St. Michael and All Angels Church, is second son of the Bishop of Christchurch, and was born in Somersetshire, England, in 1874. He was educated at Christ's College, Christchurch, New Zealand, and completed his studies at Keble College, Oxford, and the Leeds Clergy School, taking his B.A. degree in 1896. Mr. page 191 Julius was ordained in 1897 by the Bishop of Peterborough, and appointed curate at Kittering [sic], Northampton, where he remained three years. He came to New Zealand in 1901, and was appointed curate to the parish of St. Michael.
