Mr. Clark holds several sole agencies of leading manufacturing houses for New Zealand, specially in connection with the drug and kindred trades, including the Vinolia Company, Limited, whose soap and various toilet preparations, perfumery, etc., command an extensive sale throughout the colony. The premises consist of the first floor of a substantial brick building, where Mr. Clark has large and well lighted sample rooms, as well as convenient offices. Mr. Clark was born in 1860, in London, where he was educated, and brought up to mercantile life in the office of a shipping merchant. He arrived in Lyttelton in 1890, and established himself in business in Christchurch three years later. His connection extends from Auckland to the Bluff.
