Dunedin Engineer Cadet Corps

Dunedin Engineer Cadet Corps.

The Dunedin Engineer Cadet Corps was enrolled in May, 1900, with Captain Churchill in command. The strength of the corps is seventy.

Captain John William Matthewson , of the Engineer Cadet Crops, was born in Dunedin, and educated at the Otago Boys' High School. He joined the High School Cadets, in 1896, and left with the rank of sergeant. In 1902 he became a member of the Engineer Cadet Corps, with the rank of lieutenant, and was appointed captain in 1903.

Lieutenant G. Zellig Lindley , of the Dunedin Engineer Cadet Corps, was born at Hobart and came to Dunedin in 1901. He joined the Dunedin Engineer Cadet Corps in 1903, and was elected lieutenant the same years.
