Scherp, Edward John , Blacksmith, Waipiata. This business was established in August, 1898. The proprietor was born in Patearoa, in February, 1875, and learned his trade in Hamiltons. He worked there and elsewhere, gaining valuable experience, until he entered into business on his own account at Waipiata. The premises consist of a smithy, and a hut built of sun-dried bricks, on a residence area. Mr. Scherp is unmarried.
