Eweburn is an extensive district on the Maniototo Plains, the centre of which is about three miles from Ranfurly, on the Otago Central railway. The district, which is devoted solely to pastoral and agricultural purposes, was a large sheep run in the early days of the settlement. Formerly there was a hotel at Eweburn, but the license has since been transferred. The township has a public school and a post office.
