Mr. Andrew Sandilands , Fourth Engineer at the Mataura Freezing Works, was appointed to his position in March, 1901. Mr Sandilands was born at Balclutha, in 1873. He was educated in Invercargill, and learned engineering with the Southland Implement Company, in the employment of which he continued for eight years and a-half. Mr Sandilands is a member of the American Order of Oddfellows, in Invercargill, and also of the Mataura Cycling and Gun Clubs, and Athletic Society.
