The Riverton Police Sub-District extends from the mouth of the Ourawera Sludge Channel to the Wakapatu Beach, including Round Hill, Fairfax, and the whole of the neighbourhood of Wright's Bush, and Waimutuku. The station is situated in Palmerston Street, Riverton, adjoining the Courthouse. It is built of brick, and has a residence, an office, two lock-up cells and a stable.
