Mr. Robert Trail , Of the firm of Trail Brothers and Smythies, was born and educated at Riverton. He has followed sawmilling ever since leaving school, and joined his brothers and Mr Smythies in establishing the Pourakino mill, in 1899. Mr Trail is a member of the Riverton Rowing Club, and has taken part in rowing contests. He is also a member of Lodge Wallace, Independent Order of Oddfellows, No. 35, American Constitution.
