McAllister, James, Photograph-ic Artist, Broadway, Stratford. Private residence. Mountain Road North. This bbusiness was established in the year 1896. It is conducted in a wood and iron building, which contains a show room, a waiting room, a well-lighted studio, a dark room and finishing rooms. Mr. McAllister undertakes all kinds of portraiture and landscape photography. He was born in Helensborough, Scotland, and when six years of age came to New Zealand with his parents. He was educated in Dunedin, where he afterwards learned photography. Mr. McAllister subsequently worked in Christchurch and Wellington, and then removed to Hawera. A year later he disposed of his business, and established himself in Stratford.
