Mr. William Everett Higginson, Junior Partner in the firm of Messrs Clarke and Higginson, was born at the Lower Hutt, near Wellington, in the year 1881, and was educated at Manaia and Hawera. He has been trained amongst horses, and worked in the stables, of which he is now one of the proprietors, for a number of years. After being employed elsewhere for about eighteen months he returned to Hawera, and became a member of the present firm. Mr. Higginson is a member of the local Lodge of Druids.
