The New Zealand Spectator and Cook’s Strait Guardian, Saturday, March 8, 1851

We understand that a deputation from the small landed proprietors and working classes of the Hutt District waited upon Sir George Grey yesterday, to request the honor of his presence at a dinner, to be given by them as an expression of their grateful sense of the benefits which he has conferred upon that district during his administration of the Government. It is said that his Excellency has accepted their invitation, and that the dinner is appointed to take place on Thursday next.
