No. 77, 1889. —Petition of Rewi Maaka and 18 Others.

Petitioners pray that a Native Land Court may be held as soon as possible to settle the claims of the Maoris to Rangitoto, Whangarae, Okiwi, and Whangamoa.

I am directed to report as follows: That, in the opinion of the Committee, the petition should be referred to the Government.
