No. 20, 1896.—Petition of Makere Hone Mohi Tawhai.

Petitioner, who is the widow of the late Hone Mohi Tawhai, states that she is living in great want, she prays that an allowance may be granted to her.

I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government, with the recommendation that the prayer of the petitioner be granted.

No. 20, 1896.—Pitihana a Makere Hone Mohi Tawhai.

Ko te kai-pitihana, ko te pouaru ia a Hone Mohi Tawhai, e ki ana ka nui tona mate e noho nei i te rawa kore, a e inoi ana kia hoatu tetahi moni puta-a-tau hei oranga mona.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei ki te whakaaro a tenei Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga, me te whai kupu atu ano kia whakaaetia te inoi a te kai-pitihana.
