HAWKINS, Louisa

A painter and lithographer, wife of W. W. Hawkins (q.v.). She was in New Zealand in the vicinity of Wanganui in the 1840s. It is possible that when she was there she met George French Angas. Her lithograph of Angas's drawing of E Rua, E Pari, and E Hoki, women of Ngatitoa tribe, Cook's Strait is an illustration in Angas's The New Zealander Illustrated pub. 1847.
