Mangonui

1859 7th september.Mangonui District.Received from H. T.
Kemp, Commissioner for the purchase of Lands, on behalf of Her Majesty
the Queen, the sum of £58 Fifty eight pounds sterling as payment for this our
Block of Land called "Kaiawe." Kaiawe.
The Boundary begins at the line of the property of the Church Mission, it
follows Receipt for £58.Boundaries. that line in a straight direction to where it turns—then in a northerly
direction "Te Peri Peri,"—it follows the survey line, until it joins the
property of the Church Mission where it first began at Waihakaru; The Plan of
the survey of the Land hereunto annexed, will point out the precise boundaries;
And We have entirely, and without reserve, sold and conveyed this Land to Victoria the Queen, and to Her Successors for ever and ever; and the sign is this, We have hereunto signed our names and marks to this Deed, in the year of our Lord 1859.
