pounds £475 . 0 . 0 once told;—which monies have been paid into our hands this day by John Rogan.—Fifty pounds £50 . 0 . 0 have previously been received by Kereopa and others of us, on the twelfth 12th day of April, one thousand eight hundred and fifty four 1854; Fifty pounds £50 . 0 . 0 have been previously received by Wetini and others of us on the fifth 5th day of July one thousand eight hundred and fifty four;—from Donald McLean:—which two fifties added to the other sum make the total amount of five hundred and seventy five pounds £575 . 0 . 0 once told.
Boundaries. [12,000 acres.] The boundary commences at te Koukou at the mouth of the Whaingaroa river, and follows the line of the coast to Papakaraka; thence, turning inland to Koroiti, it runs along Mr. Ligar's boundary line to Opotoru; down which stream it proceeds to where it intersects the boundary line of Takapaunui; and thence following the course of the cleared line, to Rakaunui; and on to the pole on the summit of the hill; and so down to te Rua-o-te-Ata; whence it turns up the course of the Wainui river to Tarata; and thence across to te Koukou, where it joins the starting point.
Reserve at Karioi, 600 acres. One portion has been reserved for ourselves at Karioi. The boundary commences at Pokopoko, and follows the line of coast to Tauranga, thence it runs inland to Nakomako and down the Wainui creek to Waimai and thence across to Pokopoko, where the boundaries meet.

This is the only reserve for ourselves in these lands; which we have now entirely given up to Victoria the Queen of England, in the broad light of this day, and for ever; —with its creeks, its rivers, its streams, its timber, and stones;—all above the surface, and all beneath the surface, and all and everything whatsoever connected with the said land;—which we now give up for ever.

Receipt for £475. This is all the payment for this land:—namely, four hundred and seventy five pounds £475 . 0 . 0 which we have received this day;—and the one hundred pounds £100 . 0 . 0 which we received during the year that is now past.
