Reserve
Reserve.
The portion of Land belonging to Toro te Tana is excepted from this purchase
of Reserve. [270 acres.] land. It begins at the stream called Okaihau the ridge being the
boundary above and the Kaeo river the boundary below until it meets at the
Waipuakakaho stream comprising in the whole 270 acres.
And inasmuch as we have given our full and free consent to convey and sell
this piece of land to the Queen of England she has in consideration thereof as
payment given us the Sum of Three hundred pounds sterling (£300) which Sum we
have received at the Receipt for £300. hands of Mr.
Henry Kemp one of the Commissioners of the Government of New Zealand
appointed for the purchase of Land and as a token of our assent to this sale
and of the receipt of the money we have hereunto signed our names and marks on
this the 22nd day of December 1856.
