Native Land Purchase Commissioner Gazetted.
Civil Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 5th April, 1850.His Excellency the Governor-in-Chief has been pleased to appoint, by Letters Patent under the public seal of the Islands of New Zealand, Donald McLean, Esq., to be a Commissioner to treat with the Native chiefs of New Zealand for the cession of such lands as may be required from time to time for the occupation of settlers resorting to the said colony.
