Auckland.—Transmitting documents relative to purchase of land in
the Waitemata District, Manukau, &c.

Sir,—
I have the honor to transmit to you, for the information of His Excellency the
Lieut.-Governor, my report, together with the deed of purchase of land, duly
executed at the Waitemata; also the original agreement between Captain Symonds and
the Native chiefs, entered into previous to page 148
my arrival at that station; with a translation of a
statement made by Davis Tamaki to Rev. R. Maunsell, relative to the original
purchase made by Mr. Mitchell; together with copies of letters addressed to Rev.
R. Maunsell and Davis Tamaki.
