This Indenture made and entered into between A Oree and A
tooke Native Chiefs of 1839. 12 January.Kororarika Beach.Conveyance to John Evans. New Zealand on the one part and John Evans on the other part Witnesseth
that for and in consideration of the following mentioned property one double
barrell'd Gun Two Casks of Powder and Sixty lbs. of Tobacco to the said A oree and
A tooke well and truly paid by the said John Evans upon and immediately before the
sealing of these presents at the receipt whereof they the said A oree and A tooke
hath bargained and sold and by Receipt. these presents doth bargain and sell unto the Said John Evans his heirs
executors and administrators all that piece or parcel of land begining from a post
in the Swamp running Boundaries. W S W one hundred and thirteen feet following to the Se
