1844. 7 May.Manukau District.Waihihi.Thomas Jackson. [163 acres.]This Deed made the 7th day of May 1844 Between William Hobson of Auckland and Thomas Jackson of the same place Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Two Pounds in Cash and a Saddle, Bridle and Horse, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said William Hobson doth hereby convey and assure unto the said Thomas Jackson his heirs executors and assigns all that piece or parcel of land lying and being on the Manakau River and being all that pointed out to the said Thomas Jackson and which is marked out by the putting of stakes into the ground Together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, the said Thomas Jackson to have to hold and enjoy the same for himself his heirs executors and assigns for ever without any let hindrance or molestation from the said William Hobson his heirs executors administrators or assigns. In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have here-unto subscribed their names the day and year first above written.
