As suggested in your telegram of 9 January (No. 289), His Majesty's Government in New Zealand are making the necessary arrangements for the units in question to be despatched with the Second Echelon of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force. The units will receive the necessary training before embarkation as recommended by the Chief of the Imperial General Staff.¹
