The Prime Minister of New Zealand to the Governor of Fiji

The arrangements proposed in the memorandum2 which you sent to Brigadier Stewart recently with respect to the employment and administration of the Fiji Military Forces are fully acceptable to us. Army Headquarters will of course maintain the closest liaison with the Military Forces in Fiji and for our part we will do everything we can to help you. As you no doubt realise, the employment of the Fiji Military Forces will be subject to the approval of comsopac.
