On 11 September Brigadier MacCormick returned from New Zealand and on 18 September resumed the appointment of DMS 2 NZEF. Brigadier Kenrick returned to New Zealand on 15 October

on a tour of duty following arduous and distinguished service in the field in the campaigns in Greece, Crete, and the Western Desert and latterly in administration as DMS 2 NZEF.
