  • The Bishop of Waiapu.

  • Poihipi Te Rohe.
  • Henare Kepa Ruru.

  • Matena Ruta Toti.

  • Te Teira Kupa."

The above persons have accordingly been appointed by the General Synod as Trustees for this estate, as shewn by a document which has been laid upon the table.

2. By a Resolution of the Synod of last year, the Standing Committee was directed to procure the translation of some at least of the Statutes of the General Synod; in accordance with this Resolution the 2nd, 4th, and 5th of the above Statutes have been translated and printed in the Maori language, and have also been circulated in all parts of the Diocese for general information.
3. The Committee has received the sum of £17 5s. 0d. for the furtherance of Missions to the Heathen; which sum will shortly be sent to Auckland to be applied to the purpose for which it was contributed. The particulars of the contributions are appended below.
4. The statement of expenses incurred by the Committee on account of the printing of the Proceedings of the last Synod, and of the purchase of a book for the Minutes of the Proceedings of the Synod, is also laid upon the table. In the absence of a special fund to meet these expenses, they have been defrayed by borrowing from the amount received for marriage fees.
