Some of the vessels and their passengers which arrived from coastal ports and overseas during 1848 were:—

“Bernicia”: Messrs. G. Barrett and G. Barnett.

“Comet” (Capt. Cork): Mr. Bannatyne.

“Dido”: Mr. Wakefield and Te Puni.

Fanny Fisher” (Capt. Harold): (Bethune and Hunter, agents).

“Thomas Lowry”: Mr. Graham.

“William and Alfred” (Capt. Tunley): Messrs. Edward Standen and C. Cudby.
