Chapter XVII
Flow o tide and fill the creek, as
Here I stand with paddle in my hand
While waiting for a gentle breeze
From North to hurry me away.
I heed not now their anger,
Spent on me o Kohake,
As inward wish compels me still
To feel its power and drive me hence
O my beloved, I do not multiply
Excuses now, I would I could
But shorter days time lost to thee
And from thy presence held, but
Still I hear thy whispered word to me
Say "At eventide come meet me
At Tahere now south of thee
He wait thy presence and coming there
