The Voyage of the Astrolabe

comprises the following sections:

Section One.

The Narrative of the Voyage, by M. Dumont d'Urville; five large octavo volumes on double royal superfine paper, with more than 100 vignettes, woodcuts or copperplate engravings, five large folio maps, and an album of at least 240 plates lithographed on double royal superfine paper.

Meteorology, Magnetism, Temperature of the Sea, etc. Memoir written by M. Arago of the Academy of Science. One octavo volume.

Section Two.

Botany. Text of Messrs. Lesson (Jun.) and A. Richard; one octavo volume. Album of at least 80 copperplate engravings, most of them in colour, on double royal superfine paper.

Section Three.

Zoology, by Messrs. Quoy and Gaimard; five octavo volumes with an album of at least 200 copperplate engravings, printed in colour, finished with the brush on double royal superfine paper.

Section Four

Entomology, by M. Latreille of the Academy of Science; one octavo volume with 12 copperplate engravings, printed in colour and finished with the brush on double royal superfine paper.

Section Five.

Marine Geography. An atlas of about 53 maps and plans, produced by engravers to the government followed by one volume of text by M. Dumont d'Urville.
