The acting Prime Minister of New Zealand to General Freyberg

With reference to your telegram (No. 388) setting out the position in Crete, the Government have made urgent representations to His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom on the lines indicated by you. We would like you to know also that at the request of Headquarters, 2nd NZEF, we are taking urgent steps for the provision and shipment from New Zealand of additional motor equipment.1
